During the program, 245 veterans, students, union members and young people were able to watch the movie “Red Rain” for free. The movie has a historical and revolutionary war theme based on the 81-day and night battle in Quang Tri Citadel in 1972; where thousands of soldiers sacrificed their lives under bombs and bullets, every inch of land was exchanged for blood.

After being released for more than a month, the film quickly became a box office hit, being welcomed, shared and spread by audiences nationwide. To date, the film's total revenue has reached 706 billion VND, reaching 8 million viewers.
In particular, the program also had a meaningful exchange with veterans who participated in the resistance war against the US and actor Hieu Nguyen, who played the role of Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh in the movie “Red Rain”. The veterans were moved to recall the heroic memories during their time in combat. At the same time, they highly appreciated the movie “Red Rain”, which, with the power of cinema, recreated heroic historical memories, helping today’s generation not only know, but also feel the past.
Actor Hieu Nguyen expressed his pride in playing the role of a soldier. To complete the role well, he researched many documents and met historical witnesses. The days of filming in Quang Tri helped him become more mature, clearly aware of the responsibility of today's youth towards the past. At the same time, he sent a message to young people to cherish the past, peace , remember the contributions of his father, from there live with ideals and contribute to the Fatherland.
