Rare image of social housing area just started in Hanoi

The 319 Corporation of the Ministry of National Defense has just started the social housing project in Uy No commune, Dong Anh district (Hanoi). This is a rare social housing project in Hanoi that was started this year. Previously, on December 5, the social housing project at plot NO1 of Ha Dinh new urban area, Tan Trieu commune, Thanh Tri district (Hanoi) was also started with a scale of 440 apartments.

The social housing area in Uy No commune, Dong Anh district ( Hanoi ) is the first project of Corporation 319 in the field of social housing construction, with a total investment of more than 630 billion VND.

The social housing project in Uy No commune is built on a land area of ​​15,286m2, with 4 blocks of 9-storey buildings + 1 basement; a total of 466 apartments (from 40m2 to 76.7m2), expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.

It is known that the Uy No social housing project is located in the Uy No residential complex (commercial name Calyx Residence) invested by the 319 Corporation. The project on the converted land is the PK-KQ Technical College on Co Loa Street, Uy No with a total project area of ​​9.86 hectares.

At Calyx Residence project, there are also about 244 townhouses and shophouses.

According to the reporter's records, many townhouses and shophouses at the Calyx Residence project in Uy No commune (Dong Anh district) are still in a state of "closed doors and bolts". The townhouses of this project are being offered for sale on the market at a price of about 140-150 million VND/m2.

According to the reporter's records, the Uy No social housing project has built technical infrastructure, and inside the project there are some construction machines.

The investor is also having workers fence around the project site to ensure safety during construction.

According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Construction, the city currently has 69 social housing projects that have been and are being implemented. Of which, from 2021 to now, about 0.64 million m2 of social housing floor space has been completed, with more than 10,270 apartments in 8 projects fully completed and 3 projects partially completed. About 0.345 million m2 of social housing floor space, 5,923 apartments in 11 projects are expected to be completed in the period of 2024-2025.

Thus, with 19 projects expected to be completed in the 2021-2025 period with about 0.952 million square meters of social housing floor space, about 15,440 units, reaching about 78.3% of the target in the city's social housing development plan (1.215 million square meters of floor space).

Entering the 2026-2030 period, the Hanoi Department of Construction said that there are 50 projects under implementation with about 3.21 million square meters of floor space, about 57,170 apartments.
