Before the final round of Group D of the U17 Asian Cup, U17 Vietnam is at the bottom of the table with 1 point (-4 goal difference). If they want to qualify for the next round, coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team must win against U17 Uzbekistan and hope that U17 India does not win against U17 Japan.
Before the decisive battle, coach Hoang Anh Tuan is still confident in the ability of U17 Vietnam to continue.
He said: "I am not satisfied with the result of the match against U17 Japan but we still have a chance to pass the group stage.
I will encourage the players and remind them to forget the defeat against U17 Japan. We must focus fully on the match against U17 Uzbekistan to try to get through the group stage."
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan also affirmed that the whole team will improve their performance compared to the two matches against U17 India and U17 Japan.
He added: "We have prepared well for the U17 Asian Cup. We are here and need to focus on playing well in the final match.
Vietnam U17 has a different approach in each match. Therefore, Vietnam U17 will show a very different performance in the match with Uzbekistan U17."

On the afternoon of June 22, the U17 Vietnam team had a tactical training session on the secondary field of Bangkok Glass Club. This was also the match that decided the ticket to the next round in Group D for both teams.
Having just finished the match with U17 Japan, the U17 Vietnam players mainly practiced recovery in the gym and relaxed in the swimming pool. In the afternoon practice session, the team started practicing tactics to prepare for the match with U17 Uzbekistan.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his satisfaction when his players practiced very enthusiastically. The most concerned issue was the mentality after the 0-4 loss to U17 Japan in the second round.
However, the coaching staff has done some mental work and the players feel very comfortable before entering this crucial match.
