Coach Kim Sang-sik does something 'special' with Dinh Trieu

Before going to Lach Tray Stadium to watch the Hai Phong vs. Quang Nam match on the evening of January 19, coach Kim Sang-sik went to the hospital to visit goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu who was being treated for an injury.

Previously, after winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 championship with the Vietnamese team, the tournament's best goalkeeper Dinh Trieu had to be hospitalized for a health check.

Coach Kim Sang-sik asked about Dinh Trieu's health.

Initially, he was diagnosed with kidney stones. However, after re-examination, the number 1 goalkeeper of the Vietnam team was determined to have suffered a severe intestinal bruise, possibly related to the landing in the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final.

Coach Kim Sang-sik asked about his health and wished his student a speedy recovery. It is known that Dinh Trieu can be discharged from the hospital before Tet. "I'm fine, everyone don't have to worry," Dinh Trieu told VietNamNet.

Without Dinh Trieu, Hai Phong suffered a 0-1 defeat to Quang Nam in the match of round 10 of LPBank V-League 2024/25 on the evening of January 19 at Lach Tray Stadium.

At the ASEAN Cup, Dinh Trieu started 6/8 matches, only conceding 6 goals, including 3 clean sheets. He was voted the tournament's best goalkeeper by the Organizing Committee.
