Having barely beaten Cebu at home with a score of 1-0, CAHN coach Polking said: "We did not win this match by luck. CAHN deserved to win. If the team had only 1 chance to score the whole match and then won, that would be called luck. With the number of chances CAHN created against Cebu, we deserved 3 points."
Despite being rated higher and receiving cheers from the audience, CAHN played very poorly, not creating many dangerous situations towards the Philippine team's goal.
Coach Polking was satisfied with the match result.
The home team's only goal belonged to Cao Pendant Quang Vinh in the final minutes of the match when he stole the ball from the Cebu goalkeeper and then put it into the net.
"This match was very difficult for us as the opponent played defensively for the entire 90 minutes. However, the team maintained the attacking pressure and got late results," said Cao Quang Vinh.
On the other side of the battle line, coach Glenn Ramos regretted not being able to win 1 point: "Cebu players fought bravely for nearly 90 minutes but only lost due to an unlucky situation. I am proud of my students even though they came up empty-handed."
The 1-0 victory over Cebu helped CAHN get their first 3 points after 2 rounds and rise to 4th place in Group A at the 2025/26 Southeast Asian Club Cup.
