Support of nearly 650 million VND for people affected by storms and floods

From October 10 to 15, the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans (PWD-TMC) connected with businesses, organizations, and volunteer groups inside and outside the province, organizing relief teams to bring goods, necessities, and cash to support people in localities affected by storms No. 10 and 11.

In Thai Nguyen province, from October 10 to 13, Sinh Phuong Trading Service Company Limited and a number of businesses visited and presented necessities and cash to 200 people in 3 communes: My Son, Diem Thuy and Kha Son, with a total support value of 150 million VND.

Also in Thai Nguyen, Hue Thao Charity Group visited and presented 361 gifts, 1.5 tons of rice and 15 million VND in cash to people in 2 communes: Dinh Ca and Dan Tien, localities heavily affected by storms and floods. The total value of this support was 142.8 million VND.

Sinh Phuong Trading Service Company Limited supports necessities for people in Kha Son commune (Thai Nguyen province) affected by storms and floods.

On October 12 and 13, the Dai Bi Tam Ha Long Buddhist Sangha Group coordinated with Venerable Thich Thien Tu, Head of the Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha District 12, abbot of Quan Am Pagoda ( Ho Chi Minh City) and abbot of Sac Thien Vuong Quan Am Pagoda (Hung Yen province) to organize gift giving to people affected by storms in Nghia Hanh commune (Nghe An province) and Nghi Xuan commune (Ha Tinh province) with a total support amount of 351 million VND, helping 200 people.

The total cost of relief activities carried out by organizations and volunteer groups during this period was 643.8 million VND, directly supporting 761 people in localities affected by storms No. 10 and 11. All resources were mobilized by the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Disabled from socialized sources, to ensure timely and appropriate support, especially for families of people with disabilities and orphans, helping them to soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

This relief activity is a practical action, responding to the call of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods.
