The leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward gave 20kg of rice, necessities and 1 million VND in cash; at the same time, they kindly asked and encouraged the family to overcome difficulties.

Ms. Nguyen Kim Lien's family received support from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long Ward to build a house and help with many aspects of life. Ms. Lien confided: "My family's Great Unity House was completed in time for the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025. In addition to supporting the house building, ward and local officials often give my family gifts on holidays, Tet, and the beginning of the school year. Currently, my family is supported to borrow capital from the Social Policy Bank to rent 3 hectares of land to grow corn, with a profit of about 30 million VND/year. Thanks to that, the family's economy has gradually improved.

According to Mr. Vo Minh Trieu, Chairman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in the first 7 months of 2025, with support from superiors and socialization, the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee built and repaired 16 Great Unity houses, with a total amount of more than 1.6 billion VND and 350 working days. At the same time, coordinated to mobilize 570 gifts and 25 tons of rice to give to poor and near-poor households on the occasion of Lunar New Year, with a total value of over 210 million VND...

The ward's socio -political organizations manage 80 groups borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank, supporting many families to invest in production, build economic models, and increase income. In particular, the guava growing cooperative model established by the Women's Union of Thoi Long ward in 2024 is proving effective. The model has 10 members cultivating 5 hectares, mainly growing pear guava. By joining the cooperative, members are supported with loans, shared experiences, techniques for growing and caring for guava, and finding outlets for the products. Currently, for each hectare of pear guava, growers can earn 15-20 million VND/year.

Along with the guava growing cooperative model, the Ward Women's Union established and effectively maintained the model of Net-making and Trap-making Association, with 15 members; Seasonal Labor Association, with 32 members... The models attracted and created jobs for many members and women with an income of 3-6 million VND/person/month.

The ward's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations pay attention to those in particularly difficult circumstances. Mr. Vo Minh Trieu, Chairman of the ward's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: "For the elderly living alone and in particularly difficult circumstances, we regularly mobilize rice support. For households with seriously ill or terminally ill people, the ward and the area mobilize support for medical examination and treatment costs."

Ms. Huynh Ngoc Huong in Phu Luong area, 75 years old, living alone, poor health, no longer able to work, confided: "The officers of the Front Work Committee and the local mass organizations often support me with necessities. On holidays and Tet, I am given priority to receive gifts."

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025-2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated with the ward's socio-political organizations to organize the awarding of 557 gifts and scholarships, with a total value of over 239 million VND to students in difficult circumstances. Mr. Quynh Ngoc Qui, residing in Phu Luong area, brought his daughter to receive the scholarship of the program, sharing: "My wife and I have no land to produce, so we work for a living. We have 3 young children. In the new school year, my children received scholarships and school supplies. Thanks to that, my family has less burden to worry about expenses."
