Vietnamese students won third prize in international science and technology competition

On May 22, information from the Ministry of Education and Training said that one of the 7 projects of Vietnamese students participating in the 2023 International Science and Technology Competition won the third prize of the competition. The project is called "Pharmacological effects on the central nervous system of essential oils of the fruit and leaves of the mulberry tree based on the pharmacological network" by two students Nguyen Thi Mai Anh and Nguyen Binh Giang (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

This year's international science and technology competition has 61 countries and territories with 1,302 projects by 1,600 students participating. Vietnam has 7 projects participating in the competition and is one of 33 countries and territories with projects that officially won prizes. The Ministry of Education and Training said that the 7 projects participating in this year's international science and technology competition were selected from 143 projects that participated in the national competition for high school students in the 2022-2023 school year.
