On the morning of September 28, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online, Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue, vice principal of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School (Kim Ngan Commune, Quang Tri Province) confirmed that she and the school's board of directors are coordinating with the commune government and relevant agencies to resolve the incident involving 40 students of the school who were poisoned.
"Not allowed to go because waiting for car to pick up students"
Ms. Hue confirmed that she was the person in the 44-second clip and audio recording who was seen preventing the poisoned student from being taken to the hospital.
However, according to Ms. Hue, when many students showed signs of stomachache and vomiting, she did not refuse to take them to the hospital but waited for a car to come and take them.
"When I discovered it, I immediately called the accountant and the principal to mobilize their car to take the student to the hospital. I said if I didn't let them go to the hospital, I wouldn't let them go by motorbike to ensure safety."
Reporters asked Ms. Hue why in the clip she said "I confirm 100% that the children are fine. They will not be taken to the hospital." Ms. Hue said she said that to reassure parents, teachers and students.

The reporter continued to ask students who were showing signs of illness, whether taking them to the hospital even if it was delayed by a second could affect their health and life, but the vice principal made the students wait more than an hour before taking them to the hospital. Ms. Hue said: "I have the responsibility to protect the safety of the students. So I do not allow students to go by motorbike, in the middle of the road the wind is dangerous."
Teacher: 'Vice principal prevented poisoned student from being taken away'
Regarding this matter, Ms. Truong Thi Q., a school medical staff member, still affirmed that from the time she suggested taking the students to the hospital, it was more than an hour later that the students were taken there.
"The vice principal's words were very clear in the clip, that she 100% guaranteed that the students would be fine. The vice principal also insisted in the clip that they should not be taken to the hospital and not wait for a car to be dispatched," said Ms. Q.
According to Ms. Q., later, when many parents heard the news and rushed into the medical room, putting pressure, the accountant ran over and told them to put the children in his car and go to the hospital.
"The first group of students were not taken to the hospital until 8:30. The time the vice principal instructed not to take them to the hospital was not yet 7:30. If the vice principal said that he had mobilized the accountant's car to take the students, the accountant was in the next room, why did it take more than an hour to come and take the students?", Ms. Q. argued.
Ms. KL, a homeroom teacher at the school, confirmed that she was present in the medical room when the vice principal told the students not to go to the hospital. Ms. L. confirmed that the vice principal prevented the students from going to the hospital.
"Many students in my class showed symptoms of poisoning. I took them to the medical room. The medical staff suggested taking the students to the hospital, but the vice principal did not agree. The vice principal also forced the students in my class to return to class. The students were sick and had to be sent back to class, so they sat there crying and asked me to call their parents to take them to the hospital," said Ms. L.
Regarding the incident, the leader of Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee said that he had transferred the recording as well as related evidence to the police for verification.
Previously, a 44-second audio recording and clip appeared on social networks, filmed in the medical room of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, with the presence of Mr. Do Van My - principal, Ms. Hue - vice principal, school medical staff, a homeroom teacher and about ten students with symptoms of poisoning.
"Leave them where they are. I can confirm 100% that the children are fine. Do not take them to the hospital. The principal and vice principal have to handle the work. The children are fine. Leave them there. There is no problem at all," Ms. Hue's voice said very clearly in the clip.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online, at around 8am on September 26, after breakfast, dozens of students at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea...
Then the school coordinated with the authorities and parents to mobilize vehicles to transport 40 students to Le Thuy General Hospital for treatment.
