Dong Thap University opens training for 655 new master's students

GD&TĐ - On September 28, Dong Thap University held the opening ceremony of the second master's training course in 2025.

The second master training course in 2025 (course 14) has a total of 655 new master students of 13 training majors including: Educational Management; Pedagogy (Primary Education); Pedagogy (Preschool Education); Pedagogy ( Political Education); Pedagogy (Physical Education); Theory and Teaching Methods of Mathematics; Theory and Teaching Methods of English; Theory and Teaching Methods; Theoretical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry; Economic Management; Vietnamese Language; Computer Science; Mathematics.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong, President of Dong Thap University, congratulated 655 new graduate students who have officially become members of the Dong Thap University family. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let’s start the journey today with faith, determination and burning passion,” Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong shared.

In the coming time, Dong Thap University plans to open 3 new PhD training majors and 5 Master training majors.

Besides, many new university-level training majors are also being built to meet social needs, contributing to providing high-quality human resources to serve the country's development.

Dong Thap University is currently training 3 doctoral majors, 18 master's majors, and 52 undergraduate majors.

The school continues to affirm its position as a prestigious university and postgraduate training address in the locality and the Mekong Delta region. As of September 2025, the school has 537 permanent lecturers including: 321 masters, 216 doctors (including 18 associate professors). The ratio of doctors to lecturers is 40.22%.
