The program "Border - Mid-Autumn Festival Night" was organized by border stations in coordination with local Party committees, authorities, units, organizations, and kind-hearted individuals inside and outside the province, attracting a large number of children in border villages and hamlets to participate. According to the direction of the Provincial Border Guard Command, depending on actual conditions, 100% of border stations organized the Mid-Autumn Festival program for border children, to be completed before October 6. Not only organized in difficult villages and hamlets, border guards also coordinate to organize programs at schools, creating an exciting atmosphere for students. At the program, children listened to the fairy tale "Sister Hang, Uncle Cuoi", the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival; enjoyed many special performances, including the lion dance that the children awaited with cheers and excitement. Many children in the highlands were delighted when the border guards gave them small, pretty lanterns that can light up and play children's music so they could carry lanterns with their friends on the full moon night.
Thousands of small gifts including cakes, candies, toys... were jointly given by border guards on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing warm joy and congratulating the children on the Mid-Autumn Festival reunion. Kind-hearted individuals and organizations inside and outside the province joined hands with border guards to help children celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition to giving gifts, the units also coordinated to award hundreds of scholarships to students in difficult circumstances. Full moon scholarships are more meaningful as they help ease the difficulties of children in mountainous and border areas going to school.
The joy of breaking the cake on the Mid-Autumn Festival night will be a beautiful, unforgettable childhood memory. Colorful star lanterns bring joy and dreams to the "young shoots" at the border. "Mid-Autumn Festival, carrying star lanterns, we sing and welcome the full moon..." the lyrics of the song were sung by children, resounding in the vast mountains and forests of the Northwest, making the Mid-Autumn Festival even more complete. The program "Border - Moon Festival Night" not only contributes to encouraging children to study and practice to become useful citizens for society, but also affirms the responsibility and affection of the border guards for the ethnic minorities in the border areas.
