Dao San Commune Farmers' Association: 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030

On the morning of October 7, the Farmers' Association of Dao San commune held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the congress were comrades: Giang Thi Hoa - Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association; Vuong Thi Thu Hien - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and 75 delegates representing more than 1,800 farmer members in the whole commune.

The Congress comprehensively evaluated the results of the association's work and the farmers' movement in the period of 2023 - 2025. In recent times, the Commune Farmers' Association has promoted the central role and subject of farmers in agricultural development, new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction. Grain food output reached over 5,500 tons, average food per capita reached 341 kg/year; total livestock herd of 9,200 heads, poultry of more than 20,000 heads; forest cover rate reached 44.6%. The whole commune has 28 branches with 1,812 members, accounting for more than 64% of households.

Emulation movements such as "Farmers compete in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", "Farmers join hands to build new rural areas" have been widely deployed, creating strong spreading power. Up to now, the whole commune has 5 farming households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels, many models of livestock, fruit tree growing, fish farming, orchid growing bring stable income. The Association also coordinates with the Social Policy Bank to lend capital to members with a total outstanding debt of nearly 18 billion VND; maintains 2 Farmer Support Fund projects with a total capital of more than 800 million VND, contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for members.

The presentations and discussions of delegates at the congress focused on the following contents: solutions to promote farmers' participation in new rural construction; farmers actively participating in the movement of good production and business; farmers helping each other sustainably reduce poverty...

Speaking at the congress, comrades: Vuong Thi Thu Hien - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Giang Thi Hoa - Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Farmers' Association of Dao San Commune in the past time. At the same time, they suggested that in the coming term, the Commune Farmers' Association continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovate the content and methods of operation, proactively advise the Party Committee and the government on agricultural, farmer and rural work; focus on training cadres, improving the capacity of grassroots organizations, developing new members, encouraging members to boldly apply digital transformation, build collective economic models, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development goals.

At the congress, the Decisions of the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Lai Chau province on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Farmers' Association of Dao San commune, term I, 2025-2030, were announced. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of the commune consists of 31 comrades; the Standing Committee of 7 comrades, comrade Vang A Quay was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the commune.
