World oil prices

Overall, this is the second consecutive week that crude oil prices have fallen. Compared to the previous week, oil prices have decreased by 3.5%.

U.S. energy companies cut the number of rigs drilling for oil for an eighth straight week, energy services firm Baker Hughes Co said this week. The U.S. oil rig count, an indicator of future output, fell $6 to 546 this week, the lowest since April 2022.

Gasoline prices today June 26: Insignificant recovery - 1

Oil prices recovered slightly today.

US inventories report showed crude stockpiles unexpectedly fell 3.8 million barrels to 463.3 million barrels in the week to June 16.

US crude oil exports rose to 4.5 million barrels per day last week, while imports fell about 50% to 1.6 million barrels per day.

Similarly, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), US gasoline inventories (USOILG=ECI) increased by 500,000 barrels for the week to 221.4 million barrels and distillate inventories (USOILD=ECI), which include diesel and heating oil, increased by 400,000 barrels for the week to 114.3 million barrels.

Domestic gasoline prices

In the domestic market, today's gasoline prices are applied according to the price level at the afternoon session of June 21 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade. Accordingly, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline remains at VND20,878/liter; the price of RON95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) also remains at VND22,015/liter compared to the previous session.

Meanwhile, diesel price increased by 146 VND/liter to no more than 18,174 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 133 VND/liter to 17,956 VND/liter.

Fuel oil price alone decreased by 132 VND/kg, not higher than 14,578 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have undergone 18 adjustments, including 9 increases, 6 decreases, and 3 unchanged.
