On the evening of October 3, the livestream session “Full Moon in the Old Quarter - Hanoi in My Heart” took place on the TikTok channel Hoan Kiem Rising. The program was organized by the Vietnam Cultural Preservation Support Fund, Hoan Kiem Ward and the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development.

The highlight of the program was the appearance of Mr. Tran Huu Linh - Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development and Ms. Nguyen Hong Trang - Vice Chairman of Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee.

Mr. Linh participated in introducing moon cake products, directly experiencing and evaluating the flavors of baked cakes with green rice filling, green bean and lotus seed filling...

Mr. Linh even negotiated with brands to reduce product prices during the livestream so that consumers could buy at better prices.

My appearance in today’s livestream shows my love for the country and for traditional specialties. I hope everyone will actively preserve, maintain and promote local specialties ,” Mr. Linh emphasized.

Also during the broadcast, Ms. Nguyen Hong Trang introduced the to he product made by artisan Dang Van Hau and organized a mini game to interact with the audience, creating a lively and close atmosphere.

Recently, the trend of state agency leaders participating in livestreaming to promote products is gradually becoming popular, contributing to promoting the consumption of Vietnamese goods and promoting regional specialties on digital platforms.

This is considered a new approach, when the management agency not only issues policies but also directly accompanies businesses and people in the process of product consumption.

Previously, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh directly participated in a livestream to promote Luc Ngan litchi. As a result, more than 54 tons of litchi were "sold" online. Mr. Thinh said the goal is to support people to sell effectively on e-commerce platforms, helping litchi reach further, not only in the domestic market.

In early 2024, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nghiem Xuan Cuong - the person in charge of agriculture and forestry - also participated in the livestream session at the OCOP Fair, directly selling key agricultural products with people.

Mr. Cuong shared that this action comes from the province's policy of diversifying product marketing, personal interest in OCOP agricultural products and interest in the potential of e-commerce.

" I always want to bring local agricultural products to online business, making the most of the power of technology ," said Mr. Cuong.

National Assembly delegate Ha Sy Dong said the trend of leaders "going live" to promote products is a positive sign, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and closeness to the people of local authorities.

The leaders personally introducing, promoting the products and livestreaming will create a positive ripple effect that goes beyond a simple agricultural product. It is the belief in quality, the guarantee of local prestige, and the people feel the companionship of the government.

The effect is not only in economic value, but also affects social psychology, arouses pride in local products, increases the value of agricultural products and strengthens the confidence of producers.
