More than 100 contestants compete in the Danang Tourism Room Service Competition

ĐNO - On the morning of September 25, at HOIANA Resort & Golf (Duy Nghia commune, Da Nang city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the "Da Nang City Tourism Room Service Competition 2025", with the participation of more than 100 contestants from tourist accommodation establishments and 5 tourism training establishments in the city.

Candidates went through a preliminary round of theory and housekeeping skills. The 16 best candidates were selected by the organizing committee to enter the final round with flower arrangement and situation handling competitions.

The winning candidates will be selected for training to participate in the National Housekeeping Competition and the ASEAN Housekeeping Competition scheduled to take place in 2026.

Regarding the award structure, the organizing committee will award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes to the best contestants. The organizing committee will also award 7 subsidiary prizes including: the prize for the most beautiful bed making and decoration, the prize for the most beautiful flower arrangement, the prize for the best bed decoration presentation, the prize for the best flower arrangement presentation, the prize for the best English situational response...

Through the contest, contestants have the opportunity to learn and gain professional experience, improve their knowledge and professional skills in the Da Nang tourism industry. At the same time, it creates opportunities for exchange and connection to honor the hotel housekeeping profession in the city.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city, Tao Viet Hai, through the contest, the organizing committee hopes to create a professional and useful playground, connecting tourism service businesses with training facilities in the city.

Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of human resources in the tourism industry, especially the hotel room staff; affirming service quality and enhancing the position of Da Nang on the domestic and international tourism map.
