FPT Play co-organizes and exclusively broadcasts PPA Tour Asia - Vietnam Cup 2025

VHO - Vietnam Cup - the 5th stage of the PPA Tour Asia pickleball tournament system - will kick off in Da Nang city from September 30 to October 4. FPT Play is the co-organizer and exclusive broadcaster of this tournament in Vietnam.

PPA Tour Asia is the Asian version of the PPA Tour - the world 's leading professional pickleball tournament.

PPA Tour Asia, currently operated by UPA Asia, started in early July this year, with four Open-level stages in Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), Fukuoka (Japan) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

The first tournament of the PPA Tour Asia system at Cup level, Vietnam Cup 2025, will take place at Tien Son Sports Palace & Tuyen Son Sports Village (Da Nang city) from September 30 to October 4.

The tournament is organized by America & Asia Joint Stock Company (AAC), Da Nang Pickleball Federation (DPF) andFPT Play in collaboration with UPA Asia with a total prize value of up to 150,000 USD.

Vietnam Cup 2025 is expected to gather more than 120 professional athletes and 1,000 amateur athletes from home and abroad to compete in singles and doubles events.

The organizers said that up to now, many big stars of the international tennis world have registered to participate such as "GOAT" Ben Johns, Federico Staksrud, Anna Bright, Tyson McGuffin, Tyra Hurricane Black, Zoey Chao Yi Wang, Kaitlyn Christian and Alix Truong...

Points from the PPA Tour Asia 2025 system tournaments will be counted towards a separate ranking - where athletes compete for the title of No. 1 on the continent.

According to UPA Asia - the tournament organizer, this tournament structure offers maximum participation opportunities for athletes, thereby expanding the influence of the sport in regional countries.

Sharing about this tournament, Ms. Kimberly Koh, CEO of UPA Asia said: “We are excited to bring the first PPA Tour Asia Cup to Vietnam. Attracting the world’s best pickleball players to the region will give fans the opportunity to witness the best players in action live, while contributing to the rapid development of this sport in Asia.”

In recent years, many countries in Asia, including Vietnam, have witnessed the strong development of this sport. In 2024 alone, UPA said that pickleball in Vietnam grew by more than 152%, with more than 16 million regular players.

Vietnam Cup 2025 is also the 4th tournament in the PPA Tour Asia system to be exclusively shown on FPT Play.

Anticipating the pickleball phenomenon that is becoming a global trend, FPT Play once again affirms its pioneering position in long-term investment in sports content.

Previously, the unit created a stir in the domestic pickleball community when broadcasting the Hong Kong Open (August 21-24), Sansan Fukuoka Open (August 26-31) and MB Vietnam Open (September 4-7) with sharp image quality and professional commentary.

When widely broadcast, FPT Play expects this event to be an important milestone, connecting the Vietnamese pickleball community with the world, promoting cooperation in tourism, trade, and sports between domestic sports brands and international units.
