Overview of the occupational safety and health training class at the Occupational Safety and Health Center of Lang Son province
At the training course, the trainees were informed by the lecturer of the Department of Environmental Health - School Health - Occupational Diseases, Provincial Center for Disease Control about many contents such as: Dissemination of regulations of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health on the responsibilities of employers in occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace; declaration, investigation, reporting of occupational accidents, occupational diseases and occupational accident and disease insurance regimes; introduction of basic occupational health services for grassroots health workers to care for and improve the health of workers without labor contracts. How to establish and manage occupational health and safety records; monitoring the working environment, inspecting machines, and training in occupational safety and health.
In addition, trainees are informed about how to organize, manage and implement occupational safety and health regulations in medical facilities, occupational disease management; instructions on self-implementation, self-inspection of occupational safety and health, health care for workers and prevention of occupational diseases in medical facilities. Prevention of epidemics and non-communicable diseases in the workplace; harmful and dangerous factors in medical facilities and preventive measures.
Through the training course, trainees have improved their awareness, knowledge and capacity in occupational safety and hygiene (OSH), helping them to effectively implement OSH at the workplace, proactively prevent occupational accidents and diseases, improve working conditions for workers to limit occupational harm and prevent occupational diseases. At the same time, it helps grassroots medical staff to effectively disseminate information about risks and occupational accidents at the workplace to employers, workers and the community.
