Overview of the Border Health Quarantine Cooperation Conference in Nanning City, Guangxi, China

The conference was attended by representatives of the health sector of Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and Nanning Customs and Kunming Customs (China). The parties agreed to increase the sharing of disease information, monitor disease vectors, coordinate joint training and exercises, and promote health care for people entering and leaving the country.

Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of Lang Son Department of Health, participated in the discussion on the content of building the model "Smart Medical Quarantine - Smart Border Gate"

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ly Kim Soi emphasized that the construction of the model of "Smart Medical Quarantine - Smart Border Gate" at the Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan international border gate pair is extremely important. With the motto "Smart Border Gate - Sharing Community Health", artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology will be applied in disease monitoring, deploying a non-contact body temperature measurement system, facial recognition, multilingual medical translation and connecting quarantine data between Vietnam and China, moving towards connecting with ASEAN. Thereby contributing to improving the capacity to protect the health of the people of the two countries, while facilitating trade, tourism and friendly cooperation to develop more and more sustainably.
