Meeting of the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 9 months of 2024, the New Rural Development Program continued to be vigorously implemented by all levels, sectors and localities. The key contents of the program such as production development associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, shifting the rural economic structure, increasing people's income, developing and improving the quality of education, culture, health, environmental sanitation, etc. were implemented according to the set plan. Regarding the draft 3-year implementation of Resolution No. 16-NQ/TU, tasks and solutions were organized and implemented synchronously; many mechanisms and policies were issued in accordance with reality, contributing to promoting the improvement of the quality of New Rural Development criteria. To date, 2 districts of Ninh Phuoc and Ninh Hai have met the New Rural Development standards; 32/47 communes have met the New Rural Development standards; of which, 12 communes have met the advanced New Rural Development standards and 84 villages have met the New Rural Development standards.

After listening to the comments and discussions of the delegates at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to further enhance the leadership and direction of their leaders, and resolutely organize and implement tasks in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, focus on mobilizing all resources, investing in key and key NTM criteria; especially, paying attention to criteria on production organization, income improvement, poverty reduction, health insurance participation rate, environment and security. At the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of the program implementation at the grassroots level; proactively review and re-evaluate the quality of achieved and unachieved criteria and propose effective solutions. Innovate propaganda work, mobilize the entire political system to participate, promote the spirit of proactive participation of the business community and people; The assigned departments and branches actively support the communes to accelerate the completion of the NTM criteria. Fully supplement the data in the draft report of Resolution No. 16-NQ/TU, set out goals and directions for implementation to ensure the NTM criteria according to the set roadmap.
