An Giang Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Vietnam Internet Center Branch in Ho Chi Minh City signed a cooperation agreement.
According to the cooperation agreement, the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province coordinates with the Vietnam Internet Center Branch in Ho Chi Minh City to develop a plan and organize the implementation of the program to popularize the national domain name ".vn" in the period 2026-2030.
Implement a program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name “.vn” in An Giang province, striving to achieve a registration rate of using the domain names “id.vn”, “biz.vn” associated with free digital services from 60 - 70% of the total number of beneficiaries in the program, contributing to improving the indicators of e-commerce (EBI), digital transformation (DTI) and innovation (GII).
The Vietnam Internet Center Branch in Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for coordinating with the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province in organizing conferences, seminars, training courses related to the management, exploitation and development of internet resources in the province; supporting the implementation of in-depth training content on domain names, IP addresses, DNSSEC... and related technologies.
Coordinate the management, supervision, and guidance on registration and use of local internet resources, including national domain names, international domain names, IP addresses, and other types of digital resources in accordance with legal regulations.
On this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province and the Vietnam Internet Center Branch in Ho Chi Minh City signed a program of cooperation activities in 2025.
