The network of cultural and sports facilities is increasingly expanded and improved, meeting the needs of people for living, studying and training. Up to now, 100% of communes, wards and special zones in the province have cultural houses, libraries or community activity points that operate more and more effectively, becoming "meeting places" connecting the community.

The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” continues to be widely deployed, spreading to every residential area, family and individual, contributing to the formation of a civilized and affectionate living environment. Over 92% of households meet cultural standards; 84% of hamlets and quarters are recognized as cultural, showing the consensus and strong response of the people.

The work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values is given special attention, associated with promoting the local image. Typical festivals such as the Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain, Nguyen Trung Truc Festival, Bay Nui bull racing, and traditional crafts such as Cham brocade weaving, Khmer brocade weaving, Southern amateur music art, etc. are maintained regularly, organized more and more systematically, attracting a large number of tourists, contributing to affirming the position of An Giang on the national cultural map.

Building a cultural environment in agencies and units, aiming at "using beauty to eliminate ugliness", "using positive to push back negative things", to help cadres and party members raise their awareness of discipline and law compliance, respect loyalty, behave humanely, and strive to complete assigned tasks.

In the context of the digital age, changes in the way people communicate, learn, work, consume and create culture are taking place at an unprecedented speed, posing new requirements for cultural development in An Giang after the merger. Comrade Nguyen Khanh Hiep said that An Giang province continues to concretize the Party's resolutions, policies and laws of the State on building a cultural environment in the context of digital transformation, ensuring consistency from the central to local levels.

Along with that, complete and upgrade the system of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level, especially in special zones, rural areas, mountainous areas and islands, deploy the model of "Civilized digital residential area" and "Digital cultural special zone" based on the platform of online management, connection and community service.

At the same time, strengthen control, promptly prevent and eliminate harmful cultural products and bad information on cyberspace, contributing to protecting traditional customs and social ethical values; focus on educating digital citizenship skills for teenagers, including information management skills, critical thinking, and civilized behavior on cyberspace; digitize all tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the province, build a digital cultural data bank as a basis for research, education and promotion.

Expanding international cooperation will help An Giang access advanced technology, improve heritage conservation capacity, train high-quality human resources and effectively promote the image of An Giang's homeland and people to international friends. The province continues to promote a healthy cultural environment that spreads and takes root in the community, becoming a driving force for An Giang people to transform, develop and meet the requirements of the digital age.
