Hai Ha district promotes tourism strengths

In 2024, Hai Ha district will welcome over 152,100 visitors, an increase of more than 50,100 compared to 2023; total revenue from tourism services will reach nearly 198 billion VND, an increase of 41.7% compared to the plan. The district's tourism industry is developing strongly on the basis of promoting its potential and strengths.

Cai Chien island commune was recognized as a provincial-level tourist area in 2019 (Decision No. 2366/QD-UBND dated June 11, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee) thanks to its pristine natural beauty and invested services. On that basis, in 2024, Cai Chien island tourism continues to be one of the key development orientations of the district, with connections to develop diverse types of experiential tourism, spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, community tourism... The products are shaped in a sustainable direction, promoting the potential and diverse advantages of nature and culture. Notably, district-level events organized in the commune have all taken place very successfully, such as: Cultural Week, Cai Chien welcomes summer 2024; nightingale fighting competition; mountain bike exchange; cross-country running competition; kayak racing competition; dragon boat racing competition; exchange of men's and women's volleyball clubs...

Along with the highlight in Cai Chien, in 2024, tourism activities were promoted by the district, with many innovations and creativity. Typical events attracting a large number of tourists: Tra Duong Hoa Festival, Song Mun Festival of Dao ethnic group, the 2nd Hai Ha District Singing Contest, traditional folk festivals in early spring (Quang Linh communal house, To communal house, Mi Son communal house)... District tourism is making a breakthrough, maintaining strong growth momentum: in 2024, the number of tourists to the district reached 152,100, equal to 127% of the yearly plan, an increase of more than 50,100 compared to 2023; total revenue from tourism was nearly 198 billion VND, equal to 141.7% of the yearly plan, an increase of 18% compared to 2023.

This achievement is thanks to the appropriate and synchronous solutions that the district has focused on implementing vigorously in recent times. That is to strengthen the mobilization of resources to strongly develop urban and rural infrastructure; improve state management capacity in the fields of culture, sports , and tourism; train a team of officials working in culture and information... At the same time, be proactive in activities to introduce and promote the district's tourist attractions; link with travel agencies, build connections between the district's tourist attractions and tours and tourist routes. Especially, focus on preserving, restoring and promoting the value of cultural heritages, beautiful natural landscapes; promote the role of communities in sustainable tourism development...

In 2025, the district will continue to build and promote cultural values ​​and human strength to become endogenous resources and driving forces for rapid and sustainable socio -economic development. In which, tourism is still the spearhead in the district's economic growth, attracting 150,000 visitors; the production value of the tourism service sector reached 12,300 billion VND (accounting for 31.5% of the economic structure); average income per capita is 102 million VND/year. The district completed the target of reducing 100% of poor and near-poor households according to the province's multidimensional poverty standards.

To achieve these goals, the district has proposed a number of key solutions: Expanding activities to develop products, markets, connect tours, routes, and tourist destinations with localities in the province; maximizing new advantages from the strategic transportation system that has come into operation, the Van Don - Mong Cai expressway; promoting and attracting tourism; promoting the development of sea tourism...

In 2025, Hai Ha district determined to continue to closely link the goal of economic growth with human development; develop culture on par with economic, political and social development, build culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity. Including the tasks: Take care of building grassroots cultural life, especially in remote, mountainous, border and island areas; preserve, embellish and promote cultural heritages associated with tourism and service development; focus on restoring the Cai Chien Communal House - Temple Festival associated with promoting the implementation of activities to attract tourism development; mobilize all investment resources and innovate management mechanisms, promote the effectiveness of cultural and sports institutions at all levels after investment....
