Israel seizes $1.3 million in Hamas cash

According to an announcement by the Israeli Defense Ministry on November 26, forces participating in the ground military campaign in the Gaza Strip seized 5 million shekels (equivalent to 1.3 million USD) in cash from facilities and private homes of Hamas members.

According to the Israeli Defense Ministry, in addition to the Israeli shekel, the USD also includes the currencies of Jordan and Iraq. The entire amount has been transferred to the financial management department of the Israeli Defense Ministry.

Also on November 26, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi - Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the country will resume military operations in the Gaza Strip after the ceasefire with Hamas ends.

Israeli soldiers seized a Hamas rocket ammunition depot in the Gaza Strip.

In a letter to soldiers, General Halevi stated that the IDF has created a framework for the release of the hostages, including children and women, during the ceasefire. Once this framework is completed, the IDF will resume the operation with the determination to continue freeing the hostages and completely eliminate Hamas.

Earlier, on November 25, 13 Israeli hostages were released by Hamas in the second exchange after a four-day ceasefire took effect in the Gaza Strip. In separate deals, 15 foreign nationals were also freed.

In return, Israel released 78 Palestinians jailed for security violations, most of them women and children. Tel Aviv also allowed about 200 trucks carrying goods into the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that it had received from Hamas a list of hostages that would be returned on the night of November 26 in the third prisoner and hostage exchange between the two sides.

On the same day, Hamas said one of its senior commanders and three other senior members were killed in Israel's offensive on the Gaza Strip.

Specifically, Ahmed Al-Ghandour, commander of Hamas's Ezzedine Al-Qassam brigade, and Ayman Siyyam, who Israeli media said commanded the movement's missile units, were killed.

The other two have not been named. This is one of the rare times Hamas has announced losses since the conflict with Israel broke out on October 7.
