On the morning of February 28, at the National Historical Site of Xa Tac Temple, Mong Cai City solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Xa Tac Temple Festival in the spring of At Ty 2025.
The Xa Tac Altar and the Xa Tac worship ceremony are unique cultural activities with profound humanity, associated with the needs of wet rice farming residents. Through the stages of historical development and practical requirements of society, the Xa Tac worship ceremony has been organized on many different scales towards the national spirit, specifically the spirit of independence, autonomy and territorial integrity; praying for bountiful harvests, a peaceful life, prosperity, happiness...
For a long time, Xa Tac Temple has become a sacred place of religious activities, holding an important position in the spiritual and cultural life of local people; an everlasting "cultural milestone", firmly affirming the independence and sacred sovereignty of the nation. In 2020, Xa Tac Temple was ranked as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Xa Tac Temple Festival is an annual cultural event that contributes to promoting the image of Xa Tac Temple heritage in particular and the city in general to domestic and international friends.
The Xa Tac Temple Festival in the spring of At Ty 2025 is held with many rituals such as: Announcement ceremony, water supply ceremony, bathing ceremony, incense offering ceremony of the provincial and city delegations, opening ceremony of Xa Tac Temple Festival 2025, God welcoming ceremony (Spring tour of the Gods), installation ceremony, Xa Tac worship ceremony, offering ceremony of items from communes, wards, agencies, units, worshiping ceremony for sentient beings and Exit ceremony.
Besides the ceremony, there is a festival with folk games such as: Tug of war, stick pushing, volleyball, chess and calligraphy, along with a welcome art program on the festival stage...
