Opening of the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ha Nam province

Attending the Congress were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Le Thi Thuy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Xuan Loc, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Dong, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Tran Minh Tien, Director of Department C01 of the Ministry of Public Security ; Major General Nguyen Quoc Hung, Standing member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security.

Also attending the congress were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, organizations of the province, districts, towns, cities; representatives of religions; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee through the periods; representatives of Ha Nam fellow countrymen's associations in provinces and cities; representatives of a number of agencies, units, and enterprises in the province. Notably, the Congress had the presence of 250 official delegates representing all classes, representing the will, aspirations, and strength of great national unity.

With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress focused on comprehensively assessing the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates, term 2019-2024, drawing practical lessons, proposing practical and effective action programs in the new term; and consulting to elect the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the new term.

The Congress conducted consultations to elect 73 members to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVII, 2024-2029.

The first conference of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVII, consulted to elect the Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Standing Members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVII. Consulted to elect the delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Comrade Tran Thi Ngan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVI, was consulted to be the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVII, term 2024-2029.
