Ho Doi Village Communal House is a complex of communal houses, temples, and pagodas that have been preserved for centuries, a place to worship the village's tutelary gods who contributed to the Tran Dynasty kings' defeat of the enemy and the 14 ancestors who reclaimed land and established the present-day Ho Doi village. In front of the Dong communal house, there is an ancient banyan tree that is over 600 years old, 2.5 - 2.7 m in diameter, about 25 m high. This is the first banyan tree in Thai Binh province that was previously recognized as a "Vietnam Heritage Tree" by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment. Right under the banyan tree, the villagers erected a memorial stele to commemorate 153 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and national construction.
The 2025 festival will take place over 3 days, with traditional rituals such as palanquin procession, male and female mandarin worship, and many cultural and artistic activities. This is an opportunity for people to remember and show gratitude to their ancestors; at the same time, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of the homeland, educating the spirit of patriotism, the tradition of building and defending the country for the younger generation.
