Opening of the Economic and Urban Newspaper ecosystem at Cat Linh station

This is an event in a series of events organized by the Economic and Urban Newspaper, to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

The introduction point of the Economic and Urban Newspaper ecosystem is located at the lobby on the 1st floor - Cat Linh Station, not only introducing the products of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, but also creating a highlight for passengers when participating in the Hanoi Metro journey.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper said that the Economic and Urban Newspaper in collaboration with Hanoi Metro inaugurated the introduction point of the Economic and Urban Newspaper ecosystem with the spirit of promoting the image and beauty of the capital Hanoi to a large number of people when taking the train on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway branch. Through this, it helps people better understand the necessity of a modern transportation system that contributes to creating convenience for all classes of people as well as the development of a modern and civilized capital.

Regarding Hanoi Metro's passenger transport, Mr. Vu Hong Truong - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. said that on November 6, 2021, the first urban railway line of Hanoi as well as the whole country (at No. 2A, Cat Linh - Ha Dong) was officially put into operation. By the end of June 11, the line had operated safely for 583 days, transporting over 13.7 million passengers.

The line has been operating for the first two years according to the best scenario agreed upon between the Ministry of Transport and the Hanoi People's Committee. From the actual operation, it shows that the urban railway in Hanoi has achieved clear social and environmental efficiency, recognized by the people as a fast, safe, green, clean and beautiful means of transportation. The opening of the Economic and Urban Newspaper ecosystem introduction point is the beginning of a plan to increase value at stations, increase attractiveness and attract passengers to the urban railway.
