This morning, September 26, the 16th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, held its official working session. In his opening speech, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Vu Dai Thang emphasized that the Congress took place at a meaningful moment, when the whole country had just celebrated the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This was an opportunity for the entire Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to look back on the past; at the same time, express deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - who visited the heroic mining region 9 times and left profound advice for the heroic mining region; as well as generations of predecessors, heroes, and martyrs who devoted themselves to the cause of building and defending the homeland.

Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang said that preparations for the Congress had been carried out carefully, seriously, and in accordance with regulations. During the preparation process for the Congress, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has always received the attention, close direction, and timely guidance of the Politburo , the Secretariat, the Party building committees, and the Central Party Office; the attention, active construction, and contribution of opinions to the draft documents of the Congress from Party committees, Party organizations, and mass organizations; Central committees, ministries, and branches; leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Quang Ninh province through the periods; veteran revolutionaries, scientists, experts, intellectuals, artists, cadres, Party members, and people in the whole province.

According to Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang, the preparations for the Congress were carried out in accordance with principles, regulations, Party Charter and instructions from superiors. The documents submitted to the Congress were carefully, cautiously, thoroughly, and receptively prepared, absorbing the maximum amount of enthusiastic and responsible contributions, deeply reflecting the intelligence, belief and aspiration for rapid and sustainable development of Quang Ninh province of agencies, units, collectives and individuals.

The personnel work of the Congress was prepared seriously, scientifically, democratically, objectively, transparently, in accordance with the regulations of the Central Committee and closely following the requirements and tasks in the new situation, creating high consensus. The contents of the Provincial Party Committee's preparations for the Congress were highly appreciated by the Politburo and agreed to allow the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee to organize the 16th Congress.

Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang emphasized that after nearly 40 years of innovation and deep international integration, our country has achieved great and comprehensive achievements of profound historical significance; its foundation, potential, position and international prestige have been constantly enhanced; and it is entering a new stage of development with many revolutionary strategic decisions. On that basis, clearly point out the advantages, disadvantages, causes and draw lessons; propose directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the term 2025 - 2030.

Second , based on the discussion results of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Congress continued to discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
