Rewarding the barrier guard who saved people in Dong Nai

On April 16, General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation Hoang Gia Khanh signed a decision to award a certificate of merit to Mr. Trinh Dung, a level crossing guard, Trang Bom Road Supply and Demand - Bien Hoa Railway Team under Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company for his brave and timely action in rescuing people at level crossing km1682+385, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.

Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation Tran Anh Tuan awarded a certificate of merit to gatekeeper Trinh Dung.

Before that, at about 22:43 on April 7, at the above level crossing, Mr. Dung had finished closing the barrier and was on guard for the HH8 freight train to pass through the level crossing. Suddenly, Mr. Dung discovered a man jumping over the barrier, intending to rush into the moving train. Mr. Dung immediately rushed out, pulled the man to a safe area, and held him tight until the train passed the level crossing.

In response to Mr. Dung's quick-witted and brave actions, on April 15, Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company decided to reward and commend Mr. Dung.
