Inspiration and ideas for the film project "The Legend of Da Trach"

Folk tales, cultural symbols and historical perspectives were multi-dimensionally examined at the academic and artistic seminar “The Legend of Da Trach - From National Epic to Cinematic Language” organized by Hanoi Radio and Television on August 5, thereby inspiring and generating ideas for the special film project “The Legend of Da Trach”.

Speaking at the seminar, General Director - Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Nguyen Kim Khiem said that the seminar was organized with the goal of creating a comprehensive understanding of the legendary love story between Chu Dong Tu and Tien Dung. This is also an important first step, laying the intellectual foundation for the journey of creating historical and cultural cinematographic works of the Station.

Researchers and scholars also made many comments on the organization of ancient village space in the Hung King period to serve as material for reconstructing the cinematic context; femininity and the role of women in legends and society in the Hung King period through the case of Tien Dung; material cultural space in the Hung King period through archaeological documents in the Red River Delta; the Hung King period in the process of forming the Van Lang nation; the symbol of Lac Viet in visual arts with suggestions for costumes, decorations and cinematic art techniques...

This is an important knowledge base and reference platform for filmmakers, artists and content creators to find inspiration and ideas for the process of building the context, script and cultural materials in the special film project "Huyen Tinh Da Trach" produced by Hanoi Radio and Television, based on the legend of the love story of Tien Dung and Chu Dong Tu.
