According to initial information, at around 8:00 a.m. on March 2, HQK went to Mong Tho B Commune Police, Chau Thanh District, Kien Giang Province to report that at 2:30 a.m. on the same day, K. was stopped by 4 strange young men on 2 motorbikes (without license plates) and robbed of 1 Iphone 13 phone, 1 necklace, 1 18k gold ring weighing 6.5 taels and 8 million VND in the Overpass area (Rach Gia City bypass) in Phuoc Hoa Hamlet, Mong Tho B Commune.

Through verification, the Criminal Police force of Chau Thanh District Police and Mong Tho B Commune Police determined that K.'s statement did not match the scene of the incident, so they initiated an investigation.

At the police station, K. admitted that because he owed the bank more than 200 million VND and was unable to pay, he came up with the idea of faking his property being robbed so that his family would feel sorry for him and give him money to pay off the debt. The property he claimed to have been robbed of, K. had previously sold to pay back the money borrowed from friends.

To make it seem like he was really robbed, K. also slightly injured his leg, then went home to tell his biological parents and the police.
