In a respectful and solemn atmosphere in front of the Hung Kings' altar at Khanh An Pagoda, the only Vietnamese pagoda in Udon Thani province, overseas Vietnamese offered incense and flowers to the Hung Kings' altar, expressing their respect, gratitude, and remembrance of the common ancestors of the entire Vietnamese nation. Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association of Udon Thani province, highlighted the great significance of organizing the Hung Kings' death anniversary, affirming that despite living far away from the Fatherland, the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani province is always proud of the Lac Hong bloodline, always promoting the spirit of solidarity, and looking towards the homeland.

Mr. Hoa emphasized: “We overseas Vietnamese always remember our ancestors, our fathers, the Hung Kings. We are happy and excited to have the blood of Lac Hong, which is also the blood of Vietnam. We overseas Vietnamese in Thailand are still Vietnamese descendants.” For Ms. Tran Thi Tu, over the past 5 years she has always spent time with her fellow countrymen preparing and participating in the Hung Kings' death anniversary with respect and gratitude to the Hung Kings, the ancestors and the origin of the Vietnamese people. Ms. Tu shared that although she did not have the opportunity to return to her homeland on this occasion, participating in the death anniversary ceremony in Udon Thani also helped her express her respect and turn to the Fatherland.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Oanh shared that the Hung King's death anniversary is an opportunity for Vietnamese descendants to show their gratitude to King Hung for his contributions to building Vietnam. She emphasized that thanks to King Hung, their descendants have the country of Vietnam as it is today and a unified Vietnamese nation. According to Ms. Oanh, this is a cultural feature that needs to be preserved and passed on to children and grandchildren.

Not only is it a community bonding activity, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani to educate the younger generation, the children of Lac Hong bloodline in Thailand, to always preserve and spread the traditional cultural features of the nation, towards the homeland.
