Accordingly, the document sent to the following units: Viettel Telecommunications Corporation;FPT Telecommunications Joint Stock Company; VieOn Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Satellite Digital Television Company Limited; Tencent Holdings Limited stated: "Through state management activities on cinema, the Department of Cinema received information reflecting that the film "Let me shine" produced by China, is being disseminated on cyberspace, including the image of the "cow tongue map" violating national sovereignty and violating Article 9 of the 2022 Cinema Law".

The Department of Cinema requires film distribution platforms to report, clearly showing information about the film (film name, country of production, supplier), distribution method (copyright purchase, distribution cooperation...), time of distribution on the platform, film censorship and classification process before distribution, and proposed measures of the platform in case of violation. The report must be submitted before 11am on October 3.
Previously, on the evening of October 2, the online community spoke up about the movie “Let Me Shine” appearing with an image that was said to contain the “cow tongue line”. Specifically, this image was a world map that appeared in the male lead’s office.
As soon as this information was posted on social networks, a series of major pages specializing in reporting on Chinese movies and showbiz announced that they would completely stop sharing information about this movie.
Before “Let Me Shine”, many other films such as “The Wind Goes”, “Love 199 - Want to Love Forever”... also contained this illegal image. These films were immediately removed from OTT platforms in Vietnam.
