In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Kon Tum province has more than 5,300 candidates registered to take the exam, of which nearly 1,800 are ethnic minority candidates. To support ethnic minority students, especially those with difficult economic circumstances, the People's Committees of districts and cities have allocated budgets and mobilized a number of organizations and individuals to support and help candidates during their graduation exam.
Accordingly, localities in the province have mobilized more than 632 million VND to support more than 1,800 candidates, with each candidate receiving an average of 340,000 VND in support. Along with that, the examination sites have also carefully prepared accommodation and meals for ethnic minority candidates.
At Kon Tum Ethnic Minority Boarding School, the support work for candidates in the days before and during the high school graduation exam was carefully prepared. Accordingly, for this exam, the school coordinated with the Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School in Ia H'Drai district to arrange for 53/58 students to stay at school during the exam days. In addition to free accommodation, the students were also supported with daily meals that ensured nutrition and food safety and hygiene.
In addition to meals, many candidates from difficult circumstances are also supported with additional funds to cover the costs of attending the important exam.
Mr. Do Cong Vuong - Principal of Kon Tum Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School said: "We organize cooking at school to control food quality and preparation methods. Food safety is always checked by professional agencies, so parents can be completely assured."
Similarly, in Dak Glei district, the District Youth Union also urgently coordinated with units and organizations to take care of meals and sleep for candidates. This year, the Luong The Vinh High School exam site had 364 candidates, of which 168 students from far away were arranged to stay in the dormitory at the district's Ethnic Minority Boarding School. The District People's Committee provided financial support, and the District Youth Union mobilized volunteers to organize cooking.
Due to the long distance and landslides caused by the rain, the school arranged for A Duyen (Dak Long commune, Dak Glei district) to stay at the dormitory, making it convenient for her to take the exam. Not only was she provided with accommodation, A Duyen was also supported with food expenses by the district People's Committee.
A Duyen shared: "I was supported with 4 meals during each exam day. The meals were nutritious and safe, giving us more motivation and health to complete the exam well."
At the Lien Viet Kon Tum Secondary and High School exam site, there were 577 candidates taking the exam. The large number of candidates, their homes far from the exam site, many candidates had to travel dozens of kilometers, the road was difficult. To create favorable conditions for candidates, the school arranged 140 free accommodations for students, parents and teachers of Phan Boi Chau High School and Dak Ha District Continuing Education Center. In addition to accommodation, the school also provided drinking water, electricity, and ensured basic living conditions so that students could confidently enter the exam.
