Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen and nearly 130 contestants are entering the semi-finals of Miss Universe 2024 taking place in Mexico.

In the national costume competition, the Vietnamese representative wore a national costume design called Ngoc Diep Ky Nam. This costume was inspired by the image of the Butterfly Parasol of the Nguyen Dynasty in the 20th century.

The sophisticated designs, combined with colors and patterns, contribute to honoring the ingenuity and meticulousness of ancient artisans, while telling the story of the strong vitality and transformation of Vietnamese culture.

On stage, Ky Duyen had an impressive performance of opening the parasol and throwing flowers and received a lot of cheers from the audience. The Vietnamese representative kept a comfortable and cheerful spirit throughout the competition.

Miss Ky Duyen is currently entering the final stages of the Miss Universe 2024 competition. Despite facing many controversies about her foreign language ability, the Vietnamese representative still receives support from the domestic fan community.

Before the semi-final night, the Sash Factor website announced the predicted list of top 30. Accordingly, Ky Duyen was predicted to be in the top 30. The top 5 positions include representatives from Peru, Thailand, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

However, the Missosology website did not include the Vietnamese representative in the list of top 30 outstanding faces in this year's competition.

These predictions are for reference only because Ky Duyen still has to go through the last 2 important competition nights of this year's season.
