Disciplinary action against a series of district leaders in Thanh Hoa

On August 23, news from Muong Lat District Party Committee, Thanh Hoa Province, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced a disciplinary decision on the inspection of signs of violations against Party organizations and Party members related to the enrollment work at Muong Lat Ethnic Boarding School - Middle School.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee decided to reprimand the following: Mai Xuan Giang, Vice Chairman of Muong Lat District People's Committee; Lo Van Tuan, former Head of Muong Lat District Department of Education and Training (currently Deputy Head of the Department of Culture); Tong Minh Toi, Deputy Head of Muong Lat District Department of Education and Training; Trinh Xuan Tam, Principal of Muong Lat Ethnic Boarding School - Middle School; Vu Xuan Tung, specialist of the Department of Culture and Information (former specialist of the Department of Education and Training).

Previously, many parents in Muong Lat district sent petitions to the authorities to reflect that at Muong Lat Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities - Middle School, many students who are children and grandchildren of department-level leaders and teachers were admitted to the school against regulations in the 6th grade exam.

Through inspection, the authorities determined that from the 2020-2021 school year to the 2023-2024 school year, many students who were children of officials, civil servants, and teachers were admitted to Muong Lat Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities - Middle School against regulations.
