A clip lasting more than 2 minutes recorded the scene where the teacher went to the student's desk and took something back, but a male student grabbed it and pulled the teacher's hair, causing her head to tilt back. The male student then pushed her head down on the desk several times and held it for a long time before pushing her to the ground.
The images in the clip also show that other students in the class did not intervene or report to other teachers in the school.

The incident is said to have occurred at Dai Kim Secondary School ( Hanoi ). According to the school's report to the management agency, the incident occurred at around 3:15 p.m. on September 16 in class 7A14.
It was almost time for the school break, so the homeroom teacher, Ms. TTTH, entered the classroom to remind the students. While Ms. H. was reminding, she saw TML, the class monitor, holding a sharp toy, so she asked the student to give it to the teacher. The teacher announced that she would confiscate the toy because it was a dangerous item that was prohibited in the school rules.
Hearing that, the LGB student sitting at the front table stood up to demand it back. When Ms. H. refused to return it, the LGB student acted as described above.

The report said that when the incident happened, the class monitor tried to stop student B. but failed. On the other hand, he reminded the whole class to draw the curtains so that students in the hallway would not witness the incident.
After leaving the classroom, teacher H. reported the incident to the school board. The school asked the student who had acted disrespectfully to apologize to the teacher and write a report on the incident.
Immediately after that, the school invited student B.’s parents to come to school to report the incident. The student’s father apologized to the teacher and asked for permission for his son to be absent from school on September 17 to get a mental health check-up.
Dai Kim Secondary School informed that after the incident, on the afternoon of September 18, the school's Vice Principal and homeroom teacher worked with B's family to resolve the matter.
"The school invited the homeroom teacher to propose a disciplinary measure appropriate to the student's level of violation. The family presented their situation and their wish to take their child home for education for 10 days. The homeroom teacher agreed with the student's family's proposal," the report stated.
In the report, the school board also encouraged teachers and learned from their experience in handling students who violated discipline, and reminded all students to absolutely not bring dangerous objects to school. When making mistakes, they must learn from their mistakes and have a proper and progressive attitude towards teachers.
A representative of the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward said that the unit had worked with the school to grasp the situation. The ward directed the police to verify and clarify the related incident.
The incident occurred in the context of the Ministry of Education and Training having just issued new regulations on rewards and discipline for students, in which the disciplinary measure of expulsion is abolished even if the student violates the school's regulations and rules. Disciplinary measures for primary school students only include two forms: warning and, more seriously, requesting an apology (in cases where the violation continues after being warned).
As such, teachers and schools will not be allowed to criticize or apply any other form of discipline to primary school students. Disciplinary measures for students at higher levels will include: warnings; criticism; and requests to write a self-criticism.
