On the morning of October 4, in Hanoi, the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened. General Secretary To Lam attended and directed the Congress.

The Congress is an important event, affirming the maturity of the People's Public Security after 80 years of building and fighting under the leadership of the Party; aiming at the goal of protecting peace , stability, sustainable development, and improving people's lives.

General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, affirmed that during the past term, the Central Public Security Party Committee has been exemplary, pioneering, and excellently fulfilling the task of protecting the Party, State, and people; maintaining national security and revolutionary achievements.

Directing the Congress, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that in the past term, imbued with and effectively implemented the viewpoint "people are the root", all activities of the Public Security were aimed at protecting the interests of the people, serving the people, creating a source of strength for the Central Public Security Party Committee to excellently complete its tasks, becoming one of the exemplary Party Committees in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Second, the Party Committee effectively led the implementation of all aspects of the Public Security work to serve socio-economic development and serve the people. It is the main unit in building the National Population Database, creating the foundation for digital transformation, digital economy, digital society in the future and serving the people better and more effectively. Third, the Party Committee led the Public Security force to successfully deploy the 2-level Local Public Security model, providing practice for the entire political system to be determined to deploy the 2-level local government model. Highly appreciating the Political Report and Action Program, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the action viewpoint of the Central Public Security Party Committee in the coming time.
