On the evening of June 17, Thua Thien Hue province held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hue Monuments Complex and the 20th anniversary of the Vietnamese Royal Court Music being recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage.

Art program with the theme "Heritage of the Ancient Capital, Memory and Transmission".

Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; representatives of leaders of central and local ministries, branches, and representatives of UNESCO and international organizations in Vietnam.

The 3-day celebration program (from June 16-18, 2023) is a series of special activities that are elaborately organized, comprehensively evaluating the achievements and journey of preserving and promoting the values ​​of world cultural heritage in Thua Thien Hue province in the past decades, towards the journey of sustainable development, international exchange and cooperation in promoting the values ​​of cultural heritage with countries around the world. Thua Thien Hue is the only province in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia with 7 heritages recognized by UNESCO, including 5 heritages of Hue alone.

On December 11, 1993, the Complex of Hue Monuments was officially listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, this is the 410th Heritage in the List and the first world heritage of Vietnam to be honored. On November 7, 2003, Nha Nhac - Vietnamese Royal Court Music was also listed by UNESCO in the List of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, also the first intangible cultural heritage of our country to be recognized.
