Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online on the afternoon of September 7, Mr. Huynh Vo Nhat Huy - head of the Co May dormitory management board - said that these are students who not only achieve good academic results but also demonstrate the will to overcome difficulties and constantly strive to improve in life.

Initially, the dormitory management board planned to have 100 places for selection, but due to the number of applications with special circumstances, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Oanh (wife of the late businessman Pham Van Ben, founder of Co May dormitory) decided to increase the number to 107 students.

"Most of the children are poor, orphans, and do not have the means to attend university. This timely support will help them continue to nurture their dreams of studying and developing themselves," Mr. Huy added.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Co May dormitory continues to select 100 new students with especially difficult circumstances, orphans, and those who do not have enough finances to continue their studies; excellent high school students; those who have achieved good academic results in the high school graduation exam (from 20 points or higher), or those who have achieved high results in the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Accepted students will receive free accommodation, living expenses, monthly meal allowance, health insurance and accident insurance, 100% tuition support for the first year, and will be considered for continued support based on academic performance in subsequent semesters.

In addition, students are also supported with the cost of studying IT, foreign languages and participating in soft skills activities, extracurricular activities, dormitory clubs and personal development programs in a positive and safe living environment.

Over 10 years, Co May dormitory has "given wings" to more than 1,000 poor students on their university journey.

Co May Dormitory is located on the campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry in Quarter 32, Linh Xuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (old address: Quarter 22, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).

This charitable dormitory model was founded by businessman Pham Van Ben, with the desire to "follow the footsteps of poor students to study well" through comprehensive support in accommodation, tuition and skill development; helping new students with difficult circumstances but with the will to rise up to have favorable conditions to complete university.

Since 2016, Co May dormitory has accompanied more than 1,000 poor but studious students on their journey to conquer knowledge.
