Lam Dong expands social insurance and health insurance coverage for all people

On the morning of August 21, the Provincial Social Insurance and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee signed a coordination regulation for the period 2025-2030.

The event aims to strengthen unity in leadership, direction, propaganda, mobilization and organization of implementation of targets on social insurance and health insurance coverage rates.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Dang Hong Tuan, Director of Lam Dong Social Insurance, affirmed the pioneering role of propaganda work in bringing social insurance and health insurance policies to the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Loc, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, also affirmed the need for close coordination between the two agencies in strengthening propaganda work and organizing the implementation of social security policies.

At the same time, it is recommended that after the signing ceremony, the provincial Social Insurance quickly develop a specific program and plan in the coordination regulations for the last months of the year and for the whole period. In particular, it is necessary to identify tasks that need to be focused on immediately and tasks that are regular and long-term.

By the end of July 2025, Lam Dong had a working-age population participating in social insurance of 15.47%. The working-age population participating in unemployment insurance (UI) was 11.88% and the health insurance coverage rate was 86.53% of the population.
