Lam Dong requests auction of minerals recovered from dredging irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee determined that minerals recovered after dredging within the protection area of irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs are state assets and must be auctioned according to the provisions of law.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the People's Committees of districts, towns, Da Lat and Bao Loc cities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to regularly inspect and supervise organizations and individuals performing dredging to recover minerals within the scope of irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs in accordance with the scope, boundaries and content of the granted License; comply with regulations on waterway labor safety and comply with relevant legal provisions; disseminate information and request organizations and individuals licensed to operate minerals recovered after dredging as state assets.

Because it is a state asset, the Provincial People's Committee requires that during the dredging process, if minerals are discovered, they must focus on protecting them and promptly report to the relevant authorities and local authorities for instructions on handling and organizing an auction according to the provisions of law.

The People's Committees of districts, Da Lat city and Bao Loc develop a roadmap and implementation plan (according to the completion timeline) and assign specific tasks to units and individuals responsible for completing documents, procedures, organizing auctions of the volume of sand, gravel, and gravel that have been recovered and collected (gathered at the site) during the dredging of irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee; complete documents, procedures and organize auctions of minerals recovered and gathered at the site before May 30, 2024; promptly report and propose related contents (if any); be responsible for managing and protecting unexploited minerals and minerals gathered at the site before the law and the Provincial People's Committee if there is loss of state assets, delay in organizing auctions of the volume of sand, gravel, and gravel that have been recovered and collected in the area, affecting the budget revenue and the supply of construction materials.

The Department of Industry and Trade works specifically with organizations and individuals licensed to conduct dredging activities with mineral recovery within the protection area of hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs to review the operating status (in case of non-operation, propose to revoke the license according to regulations).

This is also the request of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development within the scope of protection of irrigation reservoir works.
