Provincial education sector deploys tasks for the 2025-2026 school year

On August 28, the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province held an online conference to deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year at 99 locations in communes and wards in the province.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Department, specialized departments, local leaders and managers of more than 1,000 educational institutions in the area.

The 2025-2026 school year has special significance, as it is the first year that the Education sector implements the two-level local government model and begins to implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. In the 2025-2026 school year, the Education and Training sector of Lao Cai province will implement many solutions to continue improving the quality of education and training, meeting the requirements of innovation in the new period, new era, affirming its position in the top of the Northern Midlands and Mountains provinces.

With the theme "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development" , Lao Cai Education sector identified 10 key groups of tasks, emphasizing management innovation, improving the quality of education at all levels; discovering and nurturing excellent and gifted students; maintaining and improving the quality of universalization, eliminating illiteracy, expanding the learning society; effectively implementing universal preschool education for children 3-5 years old, teaching Vietnamese to ethnic minority children; speeding up the investment progress of 9 boarding schools in border communes; promoting digital transformation, enhancing moral education - life skills - national defense and security; advising on resource mobilization, promoting socialization, investing in facilities towards standardization and building national standard schools.

Comrade Luyen Huu Chung, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Education and Training, spoke at the conference.

Within the framework of the conference, the Department of Education and Training received 119 comments and recommendations revolving around personnel work, finance, investment in facilities, policies for students in disadvantaged areas, and teacher recruitment and training.

Concluding the conference, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training praised the sense of responsibility of the units, and at the same time called on the whole sector to uphold the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and determination to successfully complete the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, meeting the requirements of socio -economic development of the province in the new period.
