According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the circulation after Storm No. 10 will continue to cause heavy to very heavy rain in the Northern region, including Lao Cai . Prolonged heavy rain can lead to dangerous weather phenomena such as flooding, flash floods, and landslides, especially in mountainous and remote districts.
To proactively respond, the Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to seriously implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 1650/CDBGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training , as well as Official Dispatch No. 07/CD-UBND of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province.

All students at preschool, primary and vocational levels will be off school on September 30. From Wednesday (October 1), 2025, schools need to proactively monitor weather developments to promptly report to the local People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training if they have to continue to let students off school.
For schools with boarding and semi-boarding students, the document requires strict management, adequate preparation of drinking water, food and essential provisions, ensuring safe living during storms. The movement of students home must be closely coordinated with families and authorities to ensure absolute safety.
Educational institutions need to urgently move assets, equipment, documents and files to safe places; reinforce facilities, check drainage systems, electricity, and trees at risk of falling. At the same time, assign staff and teachers to be on duty 24/7; prepare forces and means according to the "4 on-site" motto to promptly respond when necessary.
After the storm passes, schools will coordinate with local authorities to inspect, repair damage, restore teaching and learning activities, count the damage and propose timely support.
