The investment project to build Pham Van Dong Street has a total length of 820m, roadbed width of 16.5m, road surface width of 10.5m, sidewalks on both sides are 3m wide each with a total investment of over 29 million. billion dong The first phase of the 620m-long route, which is associated with the Quyet Thang Ward New Residential Area project, was completed at the end of 2023. However, due to difficulties in funding and problems in site clearance, the final 200m-long section connecting to Hung Vuong Street has not been constructed, creating a traffic jam in this area. This is identified as a key project for 2025. The City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee in the past and the two wards of To Hieu and Chieng Coi now have focused on allocating capital and resolutely directing the implementation of site clearance work; the construction unit has increased human resources and machinery to speed up construction progress, completing the opening to traffic to welcome the 16th Provincial Party Congress.
The project of traffic route No. 4 was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of over 13 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance and resettlement support accounts for nearly 9 billion VND. The route has a total length of 150m, connecting from route No. 3 to Nguyen Van Linh Street, designed with asphalt concrete road surface, sidewalks, trees, lighting, drainage system, technical infrastructure system, and synchronous traffic safety. This is a very difficult project in terms of site clearance (the project has lasted for many years), but thanks to the strong leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and the close coordination of departments and branches; With the high determination of the City in the past and the two wards of To Hieu and Chieng Coi now, and the consensus of the people, the construction unit overcame difficulties, concentrated human resources and machinery, took advantage of sunny days to work overtime, and accelerated the construction progress, completing and putting into use right on the occasion of the province's important event.
The project to renovate and upgrade the sidewalks of some key roads such as: Tran Dang Ninh, Le Duan, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Thanh Nien, Le Duc Tho with a total length of sidewalks of nearly 28 km, total investment of over 108 billion VND . To speed up the construction progress and put the project into operation soon, the project is divided into 04 construction packages that are widely bid on the national bidding network. Up to now, the investment preparation and bidding to select the construction contractor have been completed.
The completion and commencement of construction of new traffic routes today with a total investment of over 150 billion VND will contribute to beautifying the urban landscape, creating a spacious, clean and civilized landscape in the wards of Son La province, a vivid demonstration of the spirit of "Solidarity - Determination - Overcoming difficulties" to complete the task, towards the goal of building To Hieu ward, Chieng Coi ward in particular, Son La province in general to become more and more civilized, modern and prosperous.
