On the afternoon of January 25, on her personal page, Le Quyen posted an apology for the result announcement incident at the 2023 Green Wave Awards ceremony. The female singer said that she had just woken up so she quickly spoke up to explain her unintentional action.

Le Quyen shared that before presenting the awards, the Organizing Committee gave her and singer Thu Phuong two envelopes. According to the order of the numbers on the envelopes, Thu Phuong was the one to read the results first, Le Quyen read later.

According to the female singer, at that time, the Organizing Committee did not tell her that there would be a presentation of the nomination board before announcing the results, so the controversial "hasty" situation happened.

Le Quyen explained further: "The two sisters went on stage, Ms. Phuong (singer Thu Phuong - PV) finished reading and invited everyone to come up to receive the award, then I thought of reading the second result I was holding.

It was already late when I went on stage, and I was most afraid of wasting time, so when I opened the results and saw Van Mai Huong receiving the award again, I was so happy that I read it right away. I didn't know that there was no nomination list in the beginning, but there was in the second part. I wasn't told about this in advance either."

Le Quyen also said that the event ended later than expected. When she left, no one said anything, until she got home, she realized that she had to wait for the nomination list to be shown.

The singer born in 1981 wrote: "I apologize to the nominees and the Organizing Committee. Please understand, because I did not understand clearly, it accidentally caused an incident for the program."

Previously, at the 2023 Green Wave Awards ceremony held on the evening of January 24, Le Quyen was a guest to announce the results of the Song of the Year category.

According to the script, before Le Quyen announced the results, the two MCs Gil Le and Tuyen Tang took turns reviewing the list of nominees in this category. However, when Gil Le was about to read the nominations, Le Quyen suddenly tore open the envelope and called out the winner's name, singer Van Mai Huong, despite the two MCs constantly calling her name to remind her.
