Provincial Labor Federation gives gifts to union members and workers and presents "Union Shelter" houses

On the afternoon of July 23, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh led a working delegation to visit, present gifts and hand over "Union Shelter" houses to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Binh An commune, An Giang province.

Giving gifts to union members and workers at visiting companies

The delegation visited and presented gifts to 40 union members and workers in difficult circumstances of Huy Nam Limited Liability Company and KTC Canned Food Factory ( Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company).

Along with that, the delegation organized a handover ceremony of the "Union Shelter" house to union member Hua Van Phuoc, a member of the Kien Hung Joint Stock Company's Union. The house was built in An Binh hamlet, Binh An commune, worth 65 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor's "Union Shelter" Fund supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.

Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union Day (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized a series of celebratory activities. Among them, the organization visited and gave gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at enterprises.

Earlier, on the same morning, Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Pham Van Dang led a delegation to visit and present gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at companies in Rach Gia ward and Thanh Loc commune, including: Kim Diep Trading Company Limited, Kien Giang Mechanical Joint Stock Company (Rach Gia ward), Hwaseung Rach Gia Company Limited (Thanh Loc commune). At each company, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to 20 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who had work-related accidents or occupational diseases.

Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Pham Van Dang hopes that leaders of companies and enterprises will continue to accompany the Provincial Labor Federation in taking care of and creating conditions for union members and workers to have jobs and stable income. The Provincial Labor Federation will direct grassroots unions to continue taking care of union members and workers so that they can work with peace of mind and be attached to the company and the union organization.

The delegation also handed over the “Union Shelter” house to union member Mai Thi Thieu, An Giang Newspaper, Radio and Television Union. The house is located in Thanh Hung hamlet, Thanh Loc commune, worth 65 million VND, of which the Provincial Federation of Labor’s “Union Shelter” fund supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.
