Science and technology activities: Continue to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Since the beginning of the year, 07 topics/projects have been inspected, equal to 28% of the plan; issued a Plan to deploy, apply and manage the traceability system in Ca Mau province in 2025. Inspection of quality measurement standards continues to be carried out according to regulations, since the beginning of the year, 4,391 measuring instruments have been inspected, equal to 22% of the plan.

Regarding the field of education and training: Continue to implement the tasks of the 2024-2025 school year, ensuring the time and tasks according to the plan. The work of preserving and repairing school assets, building school facilities and the plan to build schools that meet national standards in the province continues to be implemented; to date, the whole province has 386/486 schools that meet national standards, reaching a rate of 79.4%. Promote the application of information technology in teaching, testing, evaluation and educational management, school administration, and scientific research.

Health sector: Hospitals and medical facilities continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for people. Expanded immunization for children continues to be implemented with attention. Food hygiene and safety inspections are carried out regularly and unexpectedly. During the month, food hygiene and safety inspections were carried out at 460 processing, production and trading establishments. Since the beginning of the year, 2,494 establishments have been inspected, 204 establishments were found to be in violation, accounting for 8.2%; 07 establishments were administratively fined and 197 establishments were warned.

Tourism activities: Communication and promotion activities to stimulate domestic tourism have been promoted along with many events in the Ca Mau 2025 Destination Program that have been organized and implemented effectively, attracting many tourists; during the month, 242,679 tourists were welcomed; since the beginning of the year, 850,593 tourists have been welcomed, an increase of 21% over the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue reached 1,122.7 billion VND, an increase of 18.8% over the same period in 2024.

During the month, 8,899 people were employed, with a cumulative total of 16,512 people employed, equal to 40.7% of the plan (of which 5,379 people were in the province, 10,941 people were outside the province, and 192 Ca Mau workers went to work abroad under contracts). Vocational training continued to receive attention, since the beginning of the year, 889 people have been recruited, trained and fostered, equal to 3.2% of the plan. Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated October 17, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025; As of May 9, 2025, the province has started construction of 4,194/4,400 units (3,349 new units, 845 repaired units) and completed 3,842 units. The total disbursement is VND 203,760 million, equal to 81.4% of the plan.
