Below is an open letter from Mr. Nguyen Minh Quy with detailed and thoughtful instructions for students facing the 2025 high school graduation exam:

Mr. Nguyen Minh Quy - Principal of Mac Dinh Chi High School ( Hai Phong ) - has just sent a loving message to his students as they face the high school graduation exam (Photo: NVCC).
Dear students!
The 2025 High School Graduation Exam - an important and meaningful milestone - has arrived. Teachers understand that at this time, you must have many emotions in your hearts: nervousness, anxiety, but above all, determination to conquer. Teachers and the school always believe in your abilities and tireless efforts. Wishing you calmness, confidence and victory on the upcoming journey!
To achieve the best results and avoid unfortunate mistakes, please note the following important points:
Remember the exam schedule and time: This is very important! Make sure you always remember the exam schedule for each subject and be present at the exam room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Absolutely do not be late, especially after 15 minutes from the scheduled time, because according to the regulations, you will not be allowed to take the exam that day.
On the afternoon of June 25, when arriving at the exam location, study the exam regulations. If you find any errors in your full name, middle name, given name, date of birth, or priority subjects, etc., you must immediately report to the teachers of the Exam Council for timely handling.
Prepare all necessary items: Carefully prepare all items allowed to be brought into the exam room the night before. Only bring a transparent bag containing the exam card and necessary items including: pens of the same ink color (should bring spare), pencils (should also have spare), pencil sharpener, compass, eraser, ruler, calculator without word processing function or memory card.
If you forget necessary documents, immediately notify the exam supervisor for instructions. Absolutely do not go back to get them to avoid wasting time and causing psychological effects.
Absolutely do not bring prohibited items: This is a regulation that you must remember carefully. Phones, documents, information transmitting devices or any items that are not allowed to be brought into the examination room must be checked and left outside or in the area specified by the examination board.
Make sure you do not bring anything that is not allowed before entering the exam room.
Check the exam paper carefully: When receiving the exam paper, you need to carefully check the number of pages and the print quality of the pages. If you find that the exam paper is missing pages, torn, damaged, smudged, or faded, report it immediately to the exam supervisor within 5 minutes of distributing the exam paper. Note when taking the exam: Before taking the exam, you must write down your registration number and personal information on the exam paper, exam paper, multiple choice answer sheet (TLTN), and scratch paper.
For multiple-choice tests, you need to carefully observe the multiple-choice answer sheet to see if it is the same as the answer sheet you usually use. Only use a 2B pencil to fill in the registration number, test code, and answer boxes. If you fill in the wrong answer or want to change the answer, you must erase it with a special eraser and then fill in the box you want to choose.
Fill in the information on the TLTN form correctly, especially the registration number must be written and filled in with all the digits (including the 0 in the front part). Fill in the correct exam code on the two test receipts. Allocate time reasonably, read the questions carefully, do the easy questions first, then the difficult questions.
Fill in the multiple choice answer sheet as you go. Mark each question you finish on the test so you don’t waste time rereading it. In the last 5 minutes, fill in the probability, don’t leave any answer blank.
Don't let small mistakes affect your work: Don't use two colors of ink, don't use red ink, don't use strange symbols like underlining or circling sentences. If you make a mistake, cross it out with a single line, don't use an eraser.
If you are unlucky enough to make the above mistakes or some other mistakes, if you have not finished the test yet, please ask for a replacement paper. If you have already finished the test, do not ask for a replacement paper to copy it again. The invigilators will have a memorandum after collecting the test so that your test will be graded together and will not affect the results.

Keep calm and confident: Always keep yourself mentally stable. If you feel stressed, take a deep breath to concentrate on doing the test. The time for the test is not much, so you have to allocate your time reasonably. Do the easy questions first, then the difficult ones, do them firmly, to avoid losing points. To save time, if you are sure, do it on the test paper, no need for a draft.
You are not allowed to leave the exam room during the multiple choice test. For the essay test, you can leave the exam room after 2/3 of the exam time has passed and submit your exam paper, test paper, and scratch paper, but you will not be allowed to leave the exam area, so do not leave the exam room early before the end of the time, take advantage of every minute to check your work.
Take care of your health: Health is the key factor to help you have clarity. Before and during the exam days, go to bed early in the evening, and try to take a nap in the afternoon to relax and be most alert.
Pay attention to eating, sleeping and resting on time, and ensure hygiene. Do not eat too nutritious foods or drink carbonated soft drinks to avoid digestive disorders. Avoid staying up late or traveling far before the exam.
Hopefully the advice from teachers and schools will become a lucky gift that accompanies the candidates into the exam room. Wishing you good health, diligent intelligence, and the ability to develop to the absolute level, surpassing yourself to achieve the best results.
