Actress Sabine Boghici has died after falling from a height at her home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Last year, Sabine Boghici was arrested by police for defrauding her mother of $150 million, including artwork, jewelry and cash.

Sabine Boghici is the heiress to one of Brazil's largest art collections. In 2022, Sabine and her accomplices were arrested for planning a fraud against her biological mother.

Local authorities are investigating the unusual death of actress Sabine Boghici. On September 14, when someone discovered Sabine lying in front of her home in critical condition, she was quickly rushed to the emergency room. However, doctors were unable to save her because her injuries were too severe.

At present, the authorities say it is likely a suicide. Police found in Sabine's home a letter she wrote to her gay lover, Rose Stanesco, who is still in prison for his involvement in the fraud of Sabine's biological mother.

Sabine is the daughter of a powerful art collector in Brazil - Mr. Jean Boghici. After Mr. Jean passed away in 2015, all of his art collection was passed on to his wife - Mrs. Genevieve Boghici (83 years old).

After being detained by police in August 2022 for defrauding her mother, Sabine was released on bail in March this year, on the condition that she not travel out of Rio de Janeiro for more than 10 days.

Sabine's passport was also confiscated. Sabine was forbidden from contacting her biological mother and witnesses. In addition, she was forced to keep a minimum distance of 500 meters from her biological mother.

The trick Sabine used to deceive her biological mother was to have fake psychologists approach her mother. These people were provided with information by Sabine to quickly grasp her mother's psychology. These "psychologists" showed that they could "see through" Genevieve's inner self, knew the past and predicted the future.

Since then, Sabine's mother has placed a lot of trust in "psychologists". These people convinced Genevieve Boghici that some of the precious paintings she owned were "cursed". This could cause her daughter to suffer bad luck, face dangers and possibly lose her life.

From there, the paintings began to be removed from Genevieve's home. The fraud scheme was carried out by Sabine in coordination with "psychologists" for two years, starting in 2020.

The psychiatrists Genevieve saw were all accomplices in her daughter's scheme. They all agreed on how to talk to Genevieve, leaving the elderly woman in a state of confusion and fear. Sabine also fired everyone who worked at Genevieve's home. She limited Genevieve's contact with the outside world .

At first, Genevieve transferred money to the "psychologists" to help her with her mental health and "suppress" the curses so that her daughter would be safe. Later, the "psychologists" gradually became more violent, they turned to threatening Genevieve, forcing her to do as they wanted.

Genevieve was also clearly manipulated and controlled by her daughter. She was forced to stay in the house for many months.

Notable among the stolen paintings is "Sol Poente" by Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral in 1949 (Photo: Daily Mail).

During this time, Sabine and her accomplices took away the artworks that were hanging in Genevieve's house. They told Genevieve that they did so because these works had a "curse" and contained "negative energy" and needed to be "exorcised".

After realizing that she was being psychologically manipulated and subjected to obvious control, Ms. Sabine decided to report the incident to the police so that the police could investigate. The fraud scheme was quickly exposed by the police.

Police said 16 works owned by Genevieve were taken, all of which were expensive works by Brazilian masters such as Cicero Dias, Rubens Gerchman and Alberto Guignard.

Three famous works by artist Tarsila do Amaral, O Sono , Sol Poente and Pont Neuf , were also taken. Sol Poente was recovered along with 10 other works by police after they searched the home of one of the "psychologists" involved in the scam.

Authorities found three other paintings in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Two were planned to be sold to a museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but their whereabouts are currently unknown.

Police said the suspects in the case face charges including fraud, theft, extortion, false imprisonment and having illegal connections with criminal gangs.
